Shark Week 2026 begins on Sunday, July 26 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 1 on Discovery Channel . Three back-to-back hour-long specials will air each night between 8 p.m. PT/ET and 11 p.m. PT/ET, except for the final night, Aug. 1, which includes two specials, concluding at 10 p.m. PT/ET that evening.
Discovery is included in any of DirecTV's signature packages : Entertainment, Choice, Ultimate or Premier. Plus, DirecTV offers a five-day free trial for its streaming service, meaning new subscribers can tune in to nearly all of the 2026 Shark Week programming at no cost.
