The quarterback agreed to a reworked contract with the Arizona Cardinals on July 26, according to multiple reports.
ESPN's Ian Rapoport reported that the contract is a one-year deal worth $15.5 million and could rise to $21 million incentives.
Brissett had been searching for a raise throughout the offseason after it became clear that he would be the starting quarterback for Arizona in 2026.
The 33-year-old took over as the starter in 2025 after Kyler Murray suffered what became a season-ending foot injury. The quarterback appeared in 14 games (12 starts), leading Arizona to a 1-11 record. He completed 64.9% of his passes for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Brissett previously reported to mandatory minicamp after opting to skip the Cardinals' voluntary offseason program. With training camp now underway, Brissett can get back on the field as Mike LaFleur, the team's new head coach, starts to install his offense.
Arizona will begin its preseason action in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 6 against the Carolina Panthers.

The revised contract represents a sizable raise over the deal he initially inked with the Cardinals. Brissett was previously playing on a two-year, $12.5 million deal with the team, which averaged $6.25 million in average annual value.
Brissett can now almost double the total value of his initial contract this season if he hits all of his incentives.

The decision to give Brissett a new deal ensures that he is locked in as the starter for 2026. Other than that, the roles are well-defined in Arizona.
Minshew, despite being well-traveled, is a capable backup that can also step in as a starter if needed. Beck is the developmental piece that could end up starting later in the season, while Slovis is likely on the chopping block after the preseason.
