2 NFL Star Running Backs Are Holding out Amid Contract Talks

Neither, Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs nor Atlanta Falcons star Bijan Robinson are practicing on Wednesday as they await new contracts.
"Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs and Falcons RB Bijan Robinson both are not practicing today. Both running backs have had conversations during the off-season about a potential long-term contract," ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed on Wednesday morning.
The NFL insider previously mentioned that a deal with Gibbs could be in the near future.
“I think the Gibbs thing could be relatively quick, whatever that is,” Schefter told Lions insider Brad Galli . “And, LaPorta, I haven’t heard as much on, but I think they’ll be moving in the running back market in the coming week plus.”

Earlier this offseason, 97.1 The Ticket radio host Jon Jansen suggested a Gibbs absence could be coming because the star running back is seeking another contract.
”I have heard it from multiple sources close to the team where I don’t think anybody would be surprised if he missed a couple of days,“ Jansen said at the time.
As for Robinson, Falcons reporter Josh Kendall wrote, "In the early portion of practice, Bijan Robinson doesn’t have his helmet on and does not appear to be wearing cleats. Looks healthy so I wouldn’t panic but it’s been a day in Atlanta already."
Both appear to be looking for new deals.
