Weather is an early issue
The crowd that came for Day 2 of camp had to wait under cover for nearly an hour while the team practiced indoors, due to the threat of lightning in the area. The threat dissipated, and the crowd was able to see the Jaguars go through two 11-on-11 periods and a live field-goal kicking period.
Player attendance
The only player missing was LB Jack Kiser , who injured his right knee on the third play of the first 11-on-11 team period of the first practice of camp on July 29. Kiser, whose rookie season in 2025 ended with a hamstring injury in Week 15 against the New York Jets, is expected to be replaced during his absence by seventh-round rookie Parker Hughes.
Did not practice (on the Physically Unable to Perform list): LT Cole Van Lanen (knee) and OT Garrett DiGiorgia (foot). Van Lanen did individual work indoors.
Limited: RB Chris Rodriguez (foot) and CB Christian Braswell (lower body) are participating in everything except team periods.

Ransaw gets a scare: Second-year safety Caleb Ransaw left an 11-on-11 period favoring his right leg after trying to make a play on running back LeQuint Allen Sr. Ransaw was able to return when the team moved back outdoors. Ransaw missed his entire rookie year in 2025 with a foot injury.
Top plays
Rookie wide receiver Josh Cameron made the offensive play of the practice, going downfield and coming back to make a diving, sliding catch with CB Keni-H Lovely in tight coverage.
WR Parker Washington made a diving, twisting catch of a Trevor Lawrence pass on the sideline, with the ball floating over Jalen McLeod and in front of Ransaw. Washington came up shouting with joy and McLeod threw his arms up in frustration.
TE Tanner Koziol continues to show he may be a matchup problem. He launched his 6-foot-7 frame high in the air to pull down a pass from Nick Mullens.
WR Brian Thomas Jr., made an inside move, then darted outside to make a wide-open catch from Trevor Lawrence.
LB Ventrell Miller picked off Lawrence in a 7-on-7 period indoors, then came up to stop Ameer Abdullah for what would have been little gain on a short pass on the next play.
S Rayuan Lane III intercepted Lawrence on the next-to-last play of the practice.

DE Josh Hines-Allen : had another good practice and would have had a sack of Mullens under live conditions. One play earlier, Jourdan Lewis broke up a Mullens pass.

Lawrence now has three interceptions in two days and is 6 of 13 in 11-on-11 periods. To be fair, he dropped a couple of nice completions over linebackers to Thomas Jr., and Washington.
WR Jakobi Meyers has dropped two passes in two days, both when he was wide-open. That's a bit concerning considering sure hands was his strength last season.
Tracking Travis Hunter
The Jaguars' two-way star played a total of 15 snaps in team periods, 12 in 11-on-11 (eight defense, four offense) and three in 7-on-7 (two defense, one offense).
He played five total offensive snaps and 10 on defense.
For the first two days, Hunter has played 30 snaps, 20 on defense and 10 on offense.
Hunter was targeted only once on defense, and it was his best play so far in camp on that side of the ball. Rookie wide receiver Josh Cameron had Hunter beat by a step on an out pattern, but Hunter showed remarkable recovery speed and caught up to Cameron, preventing him from catching the ball in bounds.
Hunter caught one pass on offense, beating Corey Ballentine on an out pattern.
During individual drills, Hunter spent more time on defense.
Odds and ends
Free-agent rookies Michael Wortham and Trebor Pena are longshots to make the team but they're battling. Both made one-handed catches in an individual drill and Wortham made a diving catch on a ball thrown by Carter Bradley.
PK Cameron Little was good on four attempts against a rush, from 29, 32, 42 and 52 yards.
The team will be in full pads on Aug. 3.
