Josimar Dias, better known as Vozinha, walked away from the 2026 FIFA men's World Cup with nearly 30 million Instagram followers , but the 40-year-old Cape Verde goalkeeper actually gained so much more: the ability to prolong his soccer career.
Vozinha "has an agreement in place" to join Colo-Colo in Chile , per The Athletic's Colin Millar .
“We can confirm Vozinha will be a Colo-Colo player," Millar quoted Colo-Colo president Anibal Mosa as saying to local media . "We have an agreement; the final details are being ironed out, but we already have confirmation from his entourage and his representative. We reached an agreement based on a proposal that we submitted."
Vozinha previously played for Chaves in Portugal, and he has played internationally for Cape Verde since 2012, per FOX Sports .
Cape Verde became the third-smallest country to qualify for the World Cup and vastly outperformed everyone's expectations this summer — mostly because nobody outside of Cape Verde had any expectations.
The Blue Sharks finished second behind Spain, the eventual World Cup champions, in Group H and made history by reaching the knockout stage. In the Round of 32, Cape Verde gave Argentina everything they could handle — forcing extra time and losing narrowly, 3-2.
Vozinha recorded clean sheets in two of Cape Verde's four World Cup matches — the only team to blank Spain — and made countless spectacular saves. He logged seven saves against Spain and eight saves against Argentina.
