RC Strasbourg are pushing to sign Giovanni Reyna and have already opened talks with both the player and Borussia Mönchengladbach, according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg.
While negotiations are still at an early stage and no agreement is close, Strasbourg are actively working on a deal for the United States international.
Plettenberg adds that Gladbach would be open to letting Reyna leave if a suitable offer arrives.
The 23-year-old only joined Gladbach last summer after leaving Borussia Dortmund and is now attracting interest from France, with Strasbourg emerging as a potential destination should talks progress in the coming weeks.
