See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Atlanta Falcons added several new faces to their wide receiver room over the offseason, including talented rookie Zachariah Branch . The third-round pick out of Georgia has been called a poor man's Tyreek Hill and compared to Denver Broncos speedster Jaylen Waddle.
The Falcons would be thrilled if Branch can replicate the success of either former Dolphins wide receiver in Atlanta this season. While Branch lacks prototypical NFL size, he has been impressing fans and coaches alike with his game-breaking speed.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski was asked about Branch on Friday and couldn't help but to heap praise onto the rookie wideout. Stefanski even complimented the way Branch was wired.
"Zachariah is wired the right way, and that's something we knew going into the draft and certainly have figured out about him spending so much time with him in the offseason program into training camp. He's somebody that really puts in the effort on a day-to-day- basis."
Stefanski also said that Branch's effort was what he expected after talking to Georgia head coach Kirby Smart before the draft.
"It's no surprise because that's what Kirby told me, that's what all of his coaches have told me in the past," explained Stefanski. "He's got the right makeup for what we want him to be."
