Summer may be ending, but the action in the ring will heat up when NXT presents its Heatwave event in Texas.

NXT Heatwave is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 30. The event emanates from the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. The arena can hold up to 7,688 people.

Kendal Grey (c) vs. Kelani Jordan for the the NXT Women's Championship

Zaria (North American) vs. Wren Sinclair (Speed) vs. Kali Armstrong in a Triple Threat match to unify the NXT Women's North American Championship and WWE Women's Speed Championship

Myles Borne (c) vs. Jackson Drake for the NXT North American Championship

Myles Borne and Tavion Heights (c) vs. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) for the NXT Tag Team Championship

Jaida Parker vs. Nattie in a Submission match

Mike Santana debuted in WWE as Cruz Montana and immediately challenged Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship. However, Grayson Waller returned to NXT and made his intentions known. Not long after, Zilla Fatu also made his WWE debut.

With various new contenders gunning for gold, all three will challenge D’Angelo for the NXT Championship.

Meanwhile, Kendal Grey and Kelani Jordan face off for the NXT Women's Championship. The two young stars eyed gold at the beginning of 2026. Grey won the title, and Jordan later earned an opportunity to challenge her at any point.

Myles Borne will be pulling double-duty at Heatwave. He defends the NXT North American Championship against The Vanity Project's Jackson Drake. Other members of Vanity Project challenge Borne and Tavion Heights for the NXT Tag Team Championship later that night.

The NXT Women's North American and the WWE Women's Speed Championships will be unified when Zaria, the former champion, and Wren Sinclair, the latter champion, face off. Also in the match is Kali Armstrong.

Finally, two tough competitors, Jaida Parker and Nattie, face off in a Submission match.
