See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Atlanta Falcons wrapped up their fourth day of training camp over the weekend and will return Monday for their first fully padded practice. While the team is banged up at the quarterback position, both Michael Penix Jr . and Tua Tagovailoa have been trending in the right direction.
We could see Tagovailoa return to full participation next week, but the team is being cautious with its two signal-callers. Penix has been participating in 7-on-7 drills and hopes to be cleared for contract in the next few weeks.
These QB injuries left undrafted Jack Strand and veteran Cooper Rush, who signed with the team a few days ago, to take all of the QB reps in 11-on-11 drills. Strand has impressed the coaching staff thus far, but things will only get tougher over the next few weeks.
The Falcons signed veteran linebacker Josh Woods and released defensive lineman Ross Blacklock from their 90-man roster. Woods has been an excellent special teams contributor and gives the team extra linebacker depth.
Check out Atlanta's updated 90-man roster, including uniform numbers, following the first week of training camp below.
