According to Fox Sports’ Henry McKenna, Woodson stated before the media on Monday that Brown and Doubs have impacted the team in training camp exactly in line with his expectations for both star wide receivers this offseason.
“I knew that they would make plays. those are all guys who can you know go up and get the ball, whatever the cost may be,” Woodson said. “They put it on film already, so that's nothing that I didn't expect.”
Brown and Doubs are set to be the Patriots ’ top two targets in the receiving game, respectively next season. Brown is one of the NFL’s best wide receivers in yards after the catch, while Doubs is coming off of a career year in 2025 with the Green Bay Packers that saw him emerge as an up-and-coming playmaker at the position.
Woodson, who is now tasked with defending Brown and Doubs in training camp, will have the rest of the summer to see how the two sway the offense in preparation for the start of next season.
