See the full story · 1 sourcesOn Tuesday, Carolina Panthers defensive lineman LaBryan Ray stepped away from the game. Following that morning's session of training camp, one the 28-year-old did not attend, Ray was placed on the reserve/retired list—closing up a three-year career with the team.
Now, here on Wednesday, his spot on the offseason roster has been filled.
As announced this afternoon, the team has brought back rookie defensive lineman Parker Petersen. Petersen, an undrafted signee out of the University of Wisconsin, was waived last week.
The Panthers have also re-signed offensive lineman Jake Curhan. Curhan, one of two remaining free agents from the Panthers' 2025 roster, appeared in 13 games last year.
Curhan made one start over those 13 outings, as he slotted in at right guard in the Week 13 win over the Los Angeles Rams . He'd end up recording 158 snaps on offense and 51 on special teams throughout the regular season.
In addition, Carolina has placed offensive lineman Saahdiq Charles on injured reserve due to a calf injury.
