Logo text Heated Rivalry season two filming is upon us, and production has a plea for its devoted fans: Please don't crash the set.
The Heated Rivalry TV account and creator Jacob Tierney 's production company Accent Aigu Entertainment posted a graphic to social media Tuesday morning asking their devoted fanbase to give the cast and crew space should they come across any filming that's expected to happen this summer and fall.
"To our incredible fans and everyone who's been sharing in the excitement for the show: Your support, enthusiasm, and kindness have meant the world to us," the post reads. "As we gear up for more Heated Rivalry , please help us in making it the best it can be. If you happen to come across one of our filming locations, please give our cast and crew the space they need to do what they do best." The post promises fans that it'll be worth the wait, signing off as their " Heated Rivalry family." It's likely a needed reminder, as seemingly daily over the last week, pictures of its stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie out and about Toronto have been flooding social media.
Hailing from Canadian streamer Crave and airing on HBO Max in the U.S., Heated Rivalry centers on a fictional hockey universe based on the popular romance books by Reid. The show's first season is based on the second novel, Heated Rivalry . Tierney created, wrote and directed the series.
Heated Rivalry first premiered last November and focuses on two rival professional players — Canada-born Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) of the fictitious Montreal Metros and Russia-born Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) of the fictitious Boston Raiders — as they navigate a near-decade-long situationship -turned-relationship. The show exploded in popularity and has made certified stars out of both Williams and Storrie.
Crave renewed Heated Rivalry for a second season early into the show's first season run. HBO Max has confirmed it will continue to air the series. The show is aiming for a spring 2027 release . The upcoming season will be based on the next installment of Shane and Ilya's story in Reid's novels, The Long Game , along with the fifth book in the series, Role Model . Casting for season two's new characters has yet to be announced.
Reid announced earlier this year that she'll be publishing her seventh book in the Game Changers series. The book, Unrivaled , will be the next chapter in Shane and Ilya's story, which is set to be released in June 2027 .
