Russell Westbrook has announced his retirement from the NBA, which has led to a widespread outburst of love from the community. This includes fans from all the teams he played for and the teammates he has played alongside over the years.
One of the most notable players he became teammates with was LeBron James during their Los Angeles Lakers days. It might not have worked out well for the Lakers , but it seems LeBron will always acknowledge how good a player Westbrook was throughout his career.

Throughout Westbrook's career, he was always deemed as one of the most explosive guards in the league. Not only was he amazing on the court with his statistics, but he was also inspiring his teammates to play much harder than they were used to.
That competitive drive is what made Westbrook so appealing to people. He was always playing 100%, which can put off some people, but that was just his nature as a competitor. He would always do what he could to win games, and he would never waver in his effort.

While Westbrook is mostly known as a legend for the Oklahoma City Thunder , he did have a lot of teams throughout his career. One of them was the Lakers, which was a bit of an unpopular stint because Westbrook did not play as well as people would've hoped in LA. Despite that, it seems his teammate appreciated him during their time as running mates.
"HELLUVA CAREER BRODIE!! HOF next," James commented on Westbrook's retirement announcement on Instagram .
Westbrook is a surefire candidate for the Hall of Fame. He has some of the most legendary statistical campaigns of the modern era, and averaging a triple-double became normal for him despite that being one of the hardest achievements to do in the NBA.
