This Nats losing streak has been an extended period of suffering for the team and the fans. They are a putrid 3 for 46 with RISP this road trip. To get back in the win column, that will have to change as soon as possible. Hopefully tonight is the night where the losing finally ends.
With a righty on the mound, the Nats are making some changes. CJ Abrams is hitting leadoff for the first time all season and is back at short. Abimelec Ortiz will man first base after sitting last night. Jose Tena and Keibert Ruiz also return to the lineup. Jake Irvin will make his second start since coming off the IL.

The Phillies literally have the exact same lineup order as yesterday. Honestly, it is quite unusual to see that these days. However, the Phillies are a veteran laden group, so not much tinkering is required. Luis Arraez will appear in his second game as a Phillie. Andrew Painter is a highly touted prospect who has not put it all together yet and he will take the ball tonight.

This team has just suddenly fallen off a cliff and has been playing a bad brand of baseball lately. Hopefully that can change tonight. The stress of the deadline is fully behind them now, so maybe the boys will settle back in. Follow along in the comments down below and let’s go Nats.
