Vote now for the Eagle-Gazette High School Athlete of the Week

LANCASTER – The high school fall sports season is well underway. It’s your chance to vote for the Eagle-Gazette High School Athlete of the Week.

Fans are encouraged to vote in the Eagle-Gazette Fan Poll to determine who they think had the most outstanding performance. Fans can vote as often as allowed.

The poll will run from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday. The winner will be revealed soon after the survey concludes.

Here is the list of athletes:

Connor Runkle, Fairfield Union cross country: He placed first at the Bryn Du Invitational cross country meet at Granville.

Jahmeir Gordon, Lancaster football: He rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and caught five passes for 60 yards against Delaware Hayes.

Kenzie White, Lancaster tennis: Playing at No. 1 singles, she won two matches against Marysville and Teays Valley.

Renee Smith, Bloom-Carroll volleyball: She had 41 assists in a three-set win over Amanda-Clearcreek and recorded her 1,000 th career assist.

Keaton Webb, Fairfield Union football: He had 10 tackles, including a tackle for loss, in a nonconference win over Colonel Crawford.

Caiden Riddle, Amanda-Clearcreek golf: He shot 75 during the Mid-State League-Buckeye Division match No. 3 to earn medalist honors.

Sadie Shultz, Fairfield Union cross country: She placed first at the Bryn Du Invitational cross country meet at Granville.
