Leeds United in contact with the representatives of Conrad Harder

Daniel Farke is at Elland Road. Leeds United have opened talks with the representatives of RB Leipzig striker Conrad Harder, according to Tipsbladet .

The West Yorkshire club are actively pursuing a move for the Danish forward to bolster their attacking options.

However, Leeds face competition from Serie A side Lazio, who have already submitted an official bid to bring the striker to Italy.

Lazio’s proposal is based on an initial season-long loan with an option to buy, forcing RB Leipzig to weigh up how to manage the forward’s immediate future.

Having been linked with a move to Chelsea earlier that summer, Harder left Sporting CP for Leipzig in September 2025 for a deal worth up to €30 million, following his double-winning season in Portugal.

The Bundesliga club currently prefer a permanent transfer or a loan with a mandatory purchase clause to recoup their investment, potentially giving Leeds an edge if they can offer a direct purchase arrangement.

In his debut season in Germany, Harder struggled for regular starts due to fierce competition in Leipzig’s attack. Limited mainly to substitute appearances, the Danish youth international now seeks a move that guarantees more consistent first-team football and an opportunity to showcase his goalscoring instincts.

Talks between Leeds and Harder’s representatives are ongoing as the club weigh up a formal offer. With the striker open to a move that provides regular game time, a decisive bid from Leeds could put them in pole position.

Leeds have also been linked with a loan move for Mykhailo Mudryk, but that deal appears unlikely due to Chelsea’s demands.

In the meantime, Daniel Farke’s men are focused on Tuesday’s EFL Cup second-round meeting with Nottingham Forest.
