Liverpool’s flight to New York delayed ahead of facing Wrexham
Reynolds is excited by facing Liverpool in New York, but weather conditions are impacting the Reds’ travel ahead of the game.
Andoni Iraola’s side were supposed to have already made their way to New York ahead of kick-off on July 29.
However, as journalist James Pearce has shared on X/Twitter, ‘adverse weather conditions’ have caused delays.
He explained: “Liverpool’s flight from Chicago to New York has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
“Squad will now fly into New York tomorrow [Wednesday] ahead of second tour game against Wrexham at Yankee Stadium.”
After facing Wrexham this week, Liverpool are due to clash with Leeds in their final pre-season friendly game in America on August 2.
Reynolds and Mac’s Wrexham are also bringing their US tour to a close on that day, facing off with Premier League side Sunderland.
Liverpool will kick off their 26/27 season on August 23 in the English top flight against Newcastle United, while the Red Dragons’ Championship campaign begins on August 17 against Welsh rivals Cardiff City.
