As a rite of summer, Bayern Munich took on FC Rottach-Egern in a friendly and put a sound beating on the local club.

While not as historic as previous seasons, Bayern Munich did thoroughly dominate Rottach-Egern for a 15-0 victory that was powered by a few standout efforts. Let’s dive into the details, here are some quick hitters on the match:

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany did not intend to take it easy on the home side as he started several professional talents and mixed them in with a few starlets and also a few AAAA players (not good enough for the first team, but maybe too good for the second team).

As expected, Bayern Munich came out storming and tallied four goals in the first 13 minutes as Filip Pavić, Arijon Ibrahimović, and Felipe Chávez (two) all found the back of the net.

It seems as if Armindo Sieb’s time with Bayern Munich needs to come to an end. The youngster’s development has stunted and this just might be what he is. While a player of his talent could be valuable for FC Bayern II or some other Bundesliga clubs, it would seem that he would benefit from a permanent move away.

Admit it, how many of you were triggered by the hydration break? We kid, we kid.

Bischof plays with a real sense of urgency and it constantly looking to go forward. That could be a welcomed addition to the Bayern Munich attack this season. Bischof also has a hammer of a left foot and present a scoring threat. He could get some opportunities given the attention that the attackers draw.

Kim Min-jae put in a solid 33 minutes of work. It was a good showing from the big Korean.

João Palhinha was taking some long range shots, but not many had the requisite power.

Ibrahimović has not lost that flair and creativity that he showed as a youngster. The attacker was Bayern Munich’s best player in the first hal, followed by Bischof.

Pavić was very confident, which is great to see from such a young player.

Nathaniel Brown made his debut and we got to see the Germany internationals make their respective returns to the pitch as well.

The Rottach-Egern roster makeup was something to behold with a mix of young and old. Real players and cashiers (no joke, which is awesome).

Overall, Bayern Munich did exactly what it needed to in this friendly. The youngsters got in some good run, played well, and were able to show their talent (for the most part). Meanwhile, the veterans were able to shake off some rust and have some fun. All-in-all, this was a good experience for everyone (except maybe those Rottach-Egener goalkeepers…but, hell, they probably enjoyed the game, too).
