The drugs, tractor-trailer and driver were all turned over to the Roma Police Department; an investigation is ongoing.
Back on June 15, CBP officers announced they seized $10 million worth of narcotics inside a Volvo at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo. In that discovery, they came up with about 1,100 pounds (or 489 kg) of methamphetamine. In another find on June 19 on the same bridge, officers found more than 7,000 pounds of meth inside a Dodge Ram.
Meanwhile that same day over on the Pharr International Bridge between Pharr and Reynosa, Mexico, officers found about 1,000 pounds of drugs inside a tractor-trailer.
