LAS VEGAS – When it comes to his current UFC contract, Ty Miller isn't shy to describe what he thinks of it.
"Right now I'm making ($12,000 to show) and ($12,000 to win)," Miller told reporters, including MMA Junkie, after his UFC Fight Night 284 win. "It's not sh*t really, you know what I mean?"
With that on his mind, the priority for Miller during this early stage of his UFC career is to make as much money as possible. His performance Saturday night at the Meta APEX went a long way toward that objective as he looked smooth with his striking in dominating Billy Ray Goff before winning by TKO just 15 seconds into the third round – good enough to earn a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
Jackpot!
"I'm trying to go for the 100K bonus every time," Miller said. "Whatever gets me closer to a bonus at this point in my career, that's what I want. Of course, later down the road, I want to climb the rankings and get to the belt. But right now I want to try to make as much money as I can."

Miller, who earned his UFC contract last summer through Dana White's Contender Series, is now 8-0 overall, including impressive wins in his first two octagon appearances. At 26, he's a fresh face in a deep UFC welterweight division.
Coming off a big win, Miller could've used the opportunity to make a callout –but he's not getting ahead of himself.
"Welterweight is an incredible division right now. I think it's the best it's ever been," Miller said. "I don't have a particular name in mind. I just want to be active, and I want a bonus. ...
"The goal for me is to be as exciting as possible. That's what the UFC wants, right? They don't want boring fighters; they want exciting fighters. I feel like I'm that, so every time you see me fight, just get ready for an exciting fight."
