What are the Titans' biggest strengths and weaknesses before camp?

The Tennessee Titans will finally kick off training camp when veterans report later today, and the team will look completely different than it did in 2025.

The Titans made significant upgrades to their coaching staff and roster during the offseason and have an air of excitement surrounding them. While many would say the improved staff led by Robert Saleh will be their biggest strength , on the playing field, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report believes it’s the wide receiver position, with the offensive line the biggest weakness.

Biggest Strength: Wide Receiver

We're projecting a bit here because we don't know exactly how the Tennessee Titans ' receiving corps will perform in 2026. It was one of the league's most underwhelming units a year ago, but Tennessee added two notable players in Wan'Dale Robinson and rookie fourth overall pick Carnell Tate.

Tate and Robinson should significantly boost a group that also has Calvin Ridley and saw promise from rookies Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor last season. If second-year quarterback Cam Ward has another up-and-down campaign in 2026, he won't be able to use a lackluster receiving corps as an excuse.

Biggest Weakness: Offensive Line

If Ward doesn't improve this season, he might be able to blame the offensive line. Tennessee's blocking unit was among the NFL's least reliable in 2025, and Ward was sacked a league-high 55 times (tied with Geno Smith).

An improved receiver group should help Ward get the ball out more quickly. However, Tennessee may not have done enough to improve its O-line. The Titans' "big" additions along the line were Austin Schlottmann, Cordell Volson, and rookie fifth-rounder Fernando Carmona.

It’s amazing to see the Titans’ wide receiver room mentioned as a strength after dealing with one of the worst in 2025. The additions of Roinson and Tate, along with the return of a healthy Calvin Ridley, give it a completely different look than last season.

The offensive line is a bit of an enigma, and until the competitions at center and right guard are solidified, it will be hard to project. On top of that, with JC Latham opening camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, the line could struggle early in camp.
