Woman who accused orgasmic meditation company of forcing sex fights to kill lawsuit

A former OneTaste saleswoman who accused the controversial sexual wellness company of coercing her into having sex with male members and customers is asking a judge to throw out all or part of the company's lawsuit against her, arguing it was filed after the legal deadline.

Ayries Blanck, who now lives in Ireland and goes by the name Ares Milligan, filed court papers Wednesday seeking dismissal of fraud claims brought by OneTaste, contending California's three-year statute of limitations expired before the company sued her in October 2022.

OneTaste alleges Blanck violated a 2015 settlement agreement by publicly discussing allegations she made against the company and disclosing confidential settlement terms despite agreeing to non-disclosure and non-disparagement provisions.

The company was founded in 2004 in San Fransciso, promoting “orgasmic meditation” through a series of seminars, classes and workshops.

The lawsuit also accuses Blanck of fraudulently inducing the settlement by promising to keep the agreement confidential while allegedly intending to speak to the media. Her allegations later appeared in news reports beginning in 2018 and were featured in a 2022 Netflix documentary.

But Blanck's attorney argues OneTaste knew, or should have known, about the alleged disclosures years earlier and failed to bring its fraud claims within the required time.

The filing says Blanck, who was a OneTaste member and employee in New York from 2010 to 2015, had sexual relationships with multiple men who were members or customers of the organization, including her boyfriend. After the couple split in 2014 and he began dating another OneTaste member, the filing alleges Blanck asked co-founder Nicole Daedone to intervene.

When Daedone refused, Blanck left the company and, according to her attorney's filing, later "embarked on a campaign to destroy OneTaste" by speaking publicly about her allegations.

Blanck's lawyer argues OneTaste either knew about those public statements when they surfaced in 2018 or should have discovered them through a reasonable investigation. Even if the company did not initially know Blanck was responsible, the filing says it could have preserved its claims by suing unnamed "Doe" defendants within the limitations period and later identifying her.

The motion is scheduled to be heard Oct. 22 before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rupert Byrdsong.

The latest court fight comes months after OneTaste co-founder Nicole Daedone was sentenced to nine years in federal prison after being convicted of forced labor conspiracy. A federal judge found that Daedone and former sales director Rachel Cherwitz exploited vulnerable women and coerced them into performing sexual acts for the company's clients and investors. Daedone was also ordered to forfeit $12 million, while seven victims were awarded about $890,000 in restitution.

Daedone's attorneys have said they plan to appeal her conviction. Prominent attorney Alan Dershowitz has also said he intends to seek a presidential pardon from Donald Trump for Daedone and Cherwitz.
