Is Packers QB Jordan Love undervalued? An ESPN NFL analyst makes claim.

Before last season, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky predicted Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love would win the NFL MVP.

While that didn’t happen, the former NFL quarterback remains fully part of the Team Love fan club ahead of the new season.

No MVP predictions were made yet, but Orlovsky isn’t letting up on his praise of Love, saying he has “insane” talent during a segment on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Aug. 24.

“This dude is so good,” Orlovsky said.

— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) August 24, 2026 Love, entering Year 4 as the starter in Green Bay, is coming off his most consistent season as a pro as he improved his accuracy and lowered his interception rate. He missed the final two-and-a-half games of the regular season with a concussion before returning for the playoffs.

But Orlovsky says not enough people give Love the credit he deserves.

“I somehow, still truly deep down, believe that this dude is so undervalued,” Orlovsky said.

Well, Orlovsky is here to vouch for Love’s value.

“Some of the throws he makes and the way that it is effortless are absurd,” he said of Love.

It’s true that not every throw was perfect from Love last season. Some were, in fact, quite costly like picks against the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers.

But then there are the throws that Orlovsky is likely talking about. He didn’t list them but several game-changing throws that Love made under pressure and under duress could have been referenced.

Take for example the beautiful touchdown pass to Christian Watson in the corner of the end zone late in the game against the New York Giants in blustery conditions, his dimes under the lights at the Pittsburgh Steelers, or on Thanksgiving when he delivered a pass, on a fourth down, late in the fourth quarter to seal a win over the Detroit Lions on the road.

“I think he is so sensational,” Orlovsky said. “He is sensational throwing the football.”

Orlovsky went as far to say that when considering just for throwing skill set that Love compares to QBs like the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen and Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow.

Mahomes (twice), Jackson (twice) and Allen (once) have won NFL MVP awards.

“He would be in that category … flat out throwing the ball,” Orlovsky said of Love.

Love and the Packers finish their training camp schedule this week with the final preseason game on Friday, Aug. 28, at home against the Arizona Cardinals. Love won’t play in the preseason finale after he saw action in each of the first two exhibition games.

Love’s quest then at his first MVP and the team’s journey toward a fourth straight playoff season begins Sept. 13 with a matchup against NFC North rival, Minnesota Vikings . The Packers were 4-2 in divisional games last season.
