Liverpool Women continue to get business done this summer, as it was announced on Thursday that Academy graduate Lucy Parry has signed a new contract to remain with Liverpool Women.
The 22 year old has been with the club since the age of 7 and saw her make her senior debut for the Women at the age of 16 in 2020, breaking the record for the youngest debut for the women’s team. She has since made 49 senior appearances in six years, including nine times last season by manager Gareth Taylor.
“I’m delighted. This is exactly where I want to be,” Parry told the club website.
“I’m just ready to push on and keep pushing and improving. I’m really excited for the new season.
“I’m Liverpool through and through and I wouldn’t want it any other way. This is exactly where I want to be.
“For me, I just want to push on every day, be the best version of myself. And with the team around me, I feel like we’re something special here.”

Parry’s career so far has seen her play under Matt Beard to help secure promotion from the then Championship league, before going on a season long loan in 2022-23 to Hibernian in Scotland. She made 16 appearances in the 2023-24 season, but wouldn’t score her first Liverpool senior goal until 2025.
“I think if anyone was to tell me that, I would not have believed you. I’ve said it before, I was very shy and kept myself to myself,” Parry said
“But I think as I’ve gone up through the age groups, I’ve obviously developed as a footballer but I also think myself as a person as well. I’ve learned so much about myself and I think maybe I’m not as shy as I was. It’s kind of crazy and it’s always been my dream.”
Parry has been internationally capped as well, being included in the England Women’s U17, U19, and U23 teams making 15 appearances across them.
The senior Women’s team have just arrived in Cardiff for their own preseason preparations, Parry included, before the kick off of the latest WSL campaign in early September.
