It’s just an opportunity for me to kind of have my voice in something positive, and something that people in all walks of life could pull from. There’s so much negativity in the world, but I want this to be something that touches executives, regular people, leaders, people that want to be leaders. Things that are not always tangible or you can quantify, but matter. It’s just my overarching thoughts on cultured leadership."

Roberts is currently signed to a four-year, $32.4 million contract extension that spans through the 2029 season. Initially, Roberts told reporters he would retire after the expiration of his contract but now he wants to continue his role with the Dodgers.
According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, Roberts does not know how long he wants to be the manager of the Dodgers. But he does know that he wants to leave a lasting impact beyond winning multiple World Series championships, which is why he is writing his new book.
The Dodgers are chasing a third straight World Series title this season. Los Angeles currently has an eight-game lead in the National League West and rank second overall in the NL, putting the Dodgers in a good spot for the postseason.
