Barcelona want new signing to make his debut on August 8 as deal nears completion

When Barcelona confirmed the deal to sign Karim Adeyemi this week, the club were expected to soon confirm a deal to sign another explosive winger in Jesse Bisiwu.

The Catalans already have an agreement in place with Club Brugge, but there have been some minor intricacies which have delayed the announcement.

Nevertheless, Barcelona are looking to fast-track the process and announce Bisiwu as a key signing for the youth team.

According to Diario SPORT , Barcelona want Bisiwu integrated into Hansi Flick’s squad as soon as possible, with the club specifically targeting his debut for the triangular tournament in Udine on August 8th against Udinese and Nottingham Forest.

For now, Barcelona are working to resolve the final administrative formalities with Club Brugge so the Belgian winger’s arrival can be officially confirmed in the coming days.

The agreement between the two clubs, worth €8.5 million plus 20% of any future sale, is already complete.

What remains is the exchange of documentation, a medical examination and the signing of the contract, all routine steps rather than genuine obstacles.

Flick views the 18-year-old as an exciting prospect for the future and is eager to begin working with him without further delay.

Bisiwu stands out for his physical power, his ability to beat opponents in one-on-one situations, his pace in the dribble, his two-footedness, and a maturity uncommon for a player his age.

The move is the culmination of a lengthy scouting process, with Barcelona’s recruitment department having tracked the winger since 2025.

Deco and Joao Amaral pushed hard to make his signing a priority given his considerable long-term potential, and the club now simply wants to get the paperwork over the line so he can start justifying that faith on the pitch.

It will be interesting to see how Barcelona plan to integrate Bisiwu, as he is primarily seen as a signing for the youth team. But if he can make a solid impression during pre-season , a premature promotion cannot be ruled out.
