Haissem Hassan to Celtic a done deal according to reports
Celtic reportedly have agreed a deal for Haissem Hassan. The Egyptian winger is high on Martin O’Neill’s wanted list this summer and that the club has approached his club Real Oviedo over the possibility of bringing him to Scotland’s 5IAR Champions this summer…

The Bhoys are hunting the marketplace for players who can make an impact on the European-level, according to manager Martin O’Neill, and he confirmed that Bodø/Glimt centre-forward Kasper Høgh is flying over to Glasgow for a medical in the coming days, after the club struck a record-breaking £11 million deal for the man who made such an impact in the UEFA Champions League last season.

It’s news that will no doubt delight a fanbase who have been starved of news regarding potential incomings in what has been another frustrating summer transfer window to date. Høgh’s presence might just show that the club are aware of the growing unrest which is ready to spill out of the stands once again, as we approach the season kicking-off next Monday against Dundee on Flag Day.
A signing such as this would perhaps alleviate some of the pressure on CEO Michael Nicholson for the time being, but it is far from being the answer to a multitude of problems that exist structurally at the club on an operational basis.
Wedded to that is the complete and utter disdain the supporters are treated with from the Board of Directors and also the prinicpal shareholder, who still hasn’t said a thing after last year’s outrageous debacle.
Whilst the potential Høgh signing goes on at present, the support have been given another update regarding Egyptian star Haissem Hassan, who is reported to be heading to Paradise, after Real Oviedo gave the player permission to talk to the Scottish Premiership Champions.
According to Greek journalist, George Tsarouchas, the Hoops have agreed a fee with the Spanish side and that Hassan has provisionally agreed a four-year deal with the former European Cup winners.
Taking to his social media page on X , he said:
“After Hogh, #CelticFC set to finalise another huge signing with Haissem Hassan. Egyptian star has accepted the offer from #Celtic for a 4-years contract and #RealOviedo also ready to give permission. There are some bonus that are still under negotiation.”
Hopefully, the club can get Høgh, Hassan and Mika Baur over the line before next Monday’s first league encounter of the new season at Celtic Park. It would be a welcome and much needed boost for a fanbase who have been through the mill lately when it comes to player recruitment at their football club.
This is by no means a total remedy to what ails us, but at least it is now looking like it has gotten off the ground and seems promising ad rather exciting after weeks of inaction left us fearing the worst.
