While high school football is normally reserved for Friday across the WPIAL, a quartet of Beaver Valley programs have the opportunity to be regionally televised with the announcement of WPIAL Insider Thursday Night Primetime on SportsNet Pittsburgh, marking the return of high school football on Thursday nights.
Starting in Week 2 on Sept. 3, Moon Area will open up the Thursday primetime slate as it travels to take on Bethel Park.
Three weeks later on Sept. 24, the reigning WPIAL 4A champion Aliquippa will travel to take on New Castle in a non-conference matchup that is a rematch of last year’s 4A semifinals.
Week 8 caps off the Beaver Valley slate of games on Thursday nights, with Ellwood City facing off against Ambridge in a Western Hills Conference showdown on Oct. 15.
