Considering Nebraska had not won an NCAA tournament game heading into this spring's edition of March Madness, CBS Sports analyst Jon Rothstein probably felt his promise to Cornhuskers fans would likely never need to be fulfilled.
“I, at some point before the 2026-27 season, am going to fly to Lincoln, Nebraska,” Rothstein said on CBS’ "Inside College Basketball Now" last season, via the Omaha World-Herald (subscription required). “I’m gonna go downtown.
