He produced sensational performances in the tournament, defeating 15th seed Jakub Mensik in the second round and then went on to beat 2021 finalist Matteo Berrettini in a five-set battle to reach the fourth round.
“After last year, the way I exited, I would have never known what would have happened,” Dimitrov said afterwards. “But guess what? I am back here, and I am able to rewrite everything.”
Meanwhile, Jack Draper arrives after one of the most injury-plagued periods of his career, with a long-term injury to his left arm dropping him to World No.147. With the slump, the former world No. 4 has to rely on wildcards to build some ranking points in this North American hard court swing and build momentum towards the US Open.

The notable moment was when he defeated Alcaraz in a three-hour 49-minute final as redemption for the Wimbledon final loss, and tore his shirt after winning.
