The Boston Red Sox were without the services of All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman for the second straight day on Wednesday after he was initially absent on Tuesday due to a sore elbow.

"He definitely is better today, which is good. But if he’s not like, ‘Hey, I feel completely fully recovered,’ why would you do that? "So hope we’re trending that way, but it just didn’t make a lot of sense to me today to try to risk putting him out there. So just let him be off today and we’ll reassess him after the off day."

Despite the fact that Tracy said he's trending in the right direction, it's concerning any time an All-Star is sitting on the sidelines and banged up in any way.

Hopefully, Rutschman is able to come back on Friday. But this is something to monitor.
