Crunchyroll has lined up Guillermo del Toro, James Gunn and senior executives from some of Japan's biggest anime and manga companies for the inaugural Crunchyroll Anime Future Forum, an invitation-only industry summit set for Oct. 7 in New York.

At the same corporate strategy briefing, Sony said Crunchyroll had surpassed 21 million paid subscribers worldwide as of the end of March.
Crunchyroll says more than 400 industry figures will attend the forum, which will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Wednesday, Oct. 7, before New York Comic Con begins at the same venue. NYCC runs Oct. 8-11.
