Apparently all Marcio Barbosa needs is just a glancing blow to put a fight away.
Barbosa (19-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) threw a left hook in the first round that just clipped the top of Ryan Kuse's (9-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) forehead, it appeared. But it was enough to wobble him and send him to the canvas.
Barbosa seemed to wait to see if Jason Herzog was going to stop it, and when he didn't, the Brazilian featherweight moved in to finish. But Kuse's reaction on the canvas led Herzog to realize he was done – and he stepped in right before Barbosa could land any further punches.
