Kyren Williams will remain the Rams ’ starting running back, but Blake Corum will eat into his carries again this season. And if Corum plays like he did last year, his playing time might be even higher than it was in 2025.
Corum has been working hard this offseason and said he feels the best he ever has. The workout videos of him make that very clear, and even Sean McVay is impressed by them.
“I did see a couple of those videos and they looked cool as s---,” McVay said.
The Rams coach expects big things out of Corum in 2026, building on what he did last season.
“I don’t think it’s by mistake that he comes in and has an amazing year last year. The way that he approaches it, I’d be surprised if he does anything other than get better and impact the team in a positive way,” McVay said. “… He’s a stud and he’s going to be a big factor in what we’re going to do this year and love everything he’s about.”
Corum was a big-play weapon at running back for the Rams, averaging 5.1 yards per carry with six touchdowns. He and Williams were the most efficient running back tandem in the NFL and should continue to get better behind an outstanding offensive line and with a dominant passing attack as a complement.
If Corum gets closer to 200 carries, he could approach 1,000 yards rushing, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if both he and Williams reach that mark in 2026.
