Speaking on his YouTube channel , Ferdinand said: “It was what I expected from Arsenal. Solid, hard to play against, shut down the opposition and then fed on some mistakes and punished them.
“They played like champions. I don’t see anyone being able to challenge Arsenal this season. They’re the only team with stability. Everyone else has had big changes.
“Man Utd are still in a transition and a rebuild under a fairly new manager. Man Utd need to set their stall out in a realistic manner.”
He added: “We can’t pretend that Man United should be going for the Premier League title this season. We all want that but you need to be realistic and realise where you are. I think they will finish in the top-four and I would be happy with top-four.”
