The New York Giants are signing veteran defensive tackle Marlon Davidson , per a report from Jordan Raanan of ESPN , and tight end Tyler Moore , per Mike Garafolo .
Davidson, 28, was a second-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons in the 202 NFL Draft. He only played two seasons for the Falcons, playing in 19 games in 2020 and 2021 with one start. He played in five games with three starts in 2023 for the Tennessee Titans, and played in one game last year for the Houston Texans.
His career has largely been derailed by injuries. His 2022 season was ended by knee surgery, while his 2024 season was ended by a biceps injury. Davidson was considered a plus pass rusher as a prospect with scheme and alignment diversity coming out of Auburn. He weighs in at roughlty 6-foot-3, 300 pounds and will likely be a 5-technique defensive end in a three-down front of a B-gap defender for the Giants. He fills one of the roster spots opened when the Giants waived linebacker Cam Jones and defensive tackle C.J. Ravenell.
Moore is an undrafted free agent out of Indiana.
Per the league’s official transaction report, the Giants worked out 18 players before departing for The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, where training camp will begin on Wednesday. The full list:
Davidson Moore OT Jake Curhan DE Zach Davidson DT Daniel Ekuale DT Folorunso Fatukasi OT Luke Felix-Fualalo DB Tony Grimes QB Jake Haener WR Malik Heath RB. Kylin James LB Chandler Martin WR Eric McAlister DB Ahmaad Moses LB Kenneth Murray OT Derek Simmons TE Scotty Washington DB Sam Webb
