KATSEYE Sweat It Out in Colorful, Rain-Drenched ‘Hootie Fruitti’ Video: Watch

KATSEYE came to dance in the new video for their WILD EP single “Hootie Fruitti.” The Alfred Marroquin-directed visual is a Brazilian dance feast for the eyes and ears, with an insistent, Latin-influenced beat and enough lascivious hip-shaking to give Shakira a run for her money.

Though she recently announced that she’s going on hiatus from promo activities to focus on her mental health, group member Sohpia Laforteza appears in the clip alongside bandmates Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung, who are all slaves to the rhythm in the sweat-drenched underground dance party-themed visual.

The action opens with the women trying to find some relief from an intense heat, fanning themselves and lying still to fend off sweat, before simply giving up and surrendering to the song’s absolutely hypnotic, hard-charging beat and lyrics about being the one everyone’s eyes are on. “Hey cutie, cutie, I see ya lookin’/ ‘Cause when I walk in the party, they’re like ‘Who she?’,” Avanzini teases as Jeung adds, “Carry my matcha, Mount Valley water/ I like my mochi drenched in chocolata.”

The women, dressed in a variety of primary colored bikinis and one-pieces, break out their signature high-energy choreo in a warehouse filled with fellow party-goers who watch the women bust their moves as they take turns on the delightfully nonsensical chorus: “I know you like that/ Hootie fruitti, Hootie fruitti, Hootie fruitti, Hootie/ I know you like that.” At one point, the sprinklers burst open and the party turns into a rain-drenched throw-down, with the women splashing in an improvised car-trunk swimming pool, pulling slime, popping Tic Tacs and generally body-rolling their way to pure dance ecstasy.

WILD is KATSEYE’s third EP — the follow-up to 2025’s Grammy-nominated BEAUTIFUL CHAOS — and “Hootie Frutti” follows previous singles “PINKY UP” and “Animal,” with the latter co-written by Ed Sheeran. While Laforteza appears in the video, she, along with charter member Manon Bannerman are currently on hiatus from the group, which will hit the road beginning on Sept. 1 at Dublin’s 3Arena for their WILDWORLD TOUR .
