The star wide receiver was solid in Thursday's training camp practice, providing a unique test for the Ravens' secondary. Baltimore head coach Jesse Minter believes Flower's ability to play all over the field will help his defense prepare for anything opposing teams throw at them this coming NFL season.
"He has the capabilities and the skill set to play all over the offense," Minter said, via the team's official website. "There are some guys that are slot receivers, and you kind of know where they're going to be, and you can do things to maybe take them away. He's really good from set alignment to playing outside. He's really good in the slot. He's really good on the move whenever he has the ability to motion. He can beat press; he can beat off coverage. He's tough to prepare for, and I'm certainly glad he's on our side."
"If you're a slot defender and you can cover Zay, you can cover any slot in the National Football League," Minter added. "For all of our guys who play in there, he (Zay) is the ultimate work – going against the best to make yourself better type of mentality. That's only going to make us better."
Flowers notched his second consecutive Pro-Bowl season in 2025, reeling in 86 catches for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns.
The Ravens will open up their regular-season schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 13.
