Aaron Rodgers has been somewhat of a polarizing figure throughout his NFL career, and much of that stems from what others believe about him.
There have certainly been moments when Rodgers has said things that have been questionable to some, but for the most part, he seems to be a great teammate and one of the best players of all time.
There's absolutely no debate that Rodgers is one of the five best quarterbacks to ever step foot on a field. One of the more interesting moments of his career was when the Green Bay Packers decided to draft Jordan Love.
Rodgers never came out and said he didn't like Love as a person, nor did he suggest anything that would make us believe he and Love weren't good friends.
However, the media ran with the fact that Rodgers wasn't happy that Green Bay selected a quarterback, though that really had nothing to do with Love himself. All indications suggest that he and Love were actually good friends, and it sounds like that's still the case.
Love recently spoke about that ahead of the Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers matchup on Thursday night, saying that he has nothing but great things to say about the future Hall of Famer.
“I’ve mentioned it time and time again: I have nothing but great things to say about A-Rod and my time being behind him and watching him, how much I was able to develop and grow in my process seeing him,” Love said , H/T PFT.
Love has turned into a nice quarterback himself and has credited Rodgers in the past for that.
Being able to sit behind a future Hall of Famer can do a lot of good for young players in their early careers. Green Bay eventually went in the direction it had to by giving Love the starting job, which has seemingly made a ton of sense. However, we could be looking at a completely different quarterback if Rodgers wasn't there to teach him everything he knows.
“The transition — I think for the organization, that’s something that’s never easy, and for the players, it’s not something that’s ever easy, either. For a guy that’s been here that long and done so many great things, those are big shoes to fill. For me, I try to focus on being my best and doing the best job I can for the team.”
