CLEVELAND — The Guardians made moves at the MLB trade deadline in an effort to improve, but whether they actually begin playing better remains to be seen. Their next chance will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, against the New York Mets.
By falling 6-2 in their interleague series opener against the Mets on Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Guardians (57-57) lost for the ninth time in 12 games.
