The Colorado Rockies are going to be trade deadline sellers this summer, and the only question for the team is how far they'll end up going in their sale.
The barometer for a fire sale is obviously catcher Hunter Goodman, a two-time All-Star who is sure to have plenty of trade interest. If he's dealt, it would signal a massive fire sale for the Rockies.
However, USA Today MLB insider Bob Nightengale revealed seven players the Rockies are available for trade, and while Goodman isn't one of them, there are plenty of valuable players who could be on the move by the August 3 deadline.
Rockies revealed to make seven players available for trade
"The Colorado Rockies will be popular at the trade deadline," Nightengale writes. "They are letting teams know that pitchers Antonio Senzatela, Kyle Freeland, Michael Lorenzen, and Tomoyuki Sugano are available, as well as position players Mickey Moniak, Jake McCarthy, and Willi Castro."
The Rockies have made seven players available for trade this summer already, and some of them are very interesting options for teams this summer.
Starting with Senzatela, the veteran right-handed reliever has a 3.53 ERA this season with a 9-2 record, 1.3 bWAR, and is in the final year of a five-year, $50.5 million contract with a 2027 club option. He'd be a nice bulk reliever for a postseason contender.
Freeland, on the other hand, is a bit of a question mark. He's 33 years old and in the final year of a five-year, $64.5 million deal. But, he has a 7.28 ERA this season with a 2-9 record and -0.9 bWAR. Not many teams will likely have much interest in him.

Sugano is a fascinating option, as a 36-year-old who has a 10-4 record with a 4.69 ERA this season and 1.4 bWAR, he'd be an intriguing rental starter for a team looking for a cheap No. 5 option. The Philadelphia Phillies would make sense for Sugano.
Lorenzen is in a similar boat to Freeland, as he's a 34-year-old starter who has a 6.53 ERA this season with -1.0 bWAR. He's cheaper on a one-year, $8 million deal with a club option, but his 3-9 record and poor ERA don't make him a very appealing target.
The really interesting trade targets are the position players. Moniak is 28 years old and under club control through 2027, and has 16 homers this season with a .277 batting average and 0.6 bWAR in 68 games with a strong .881 OPS. He'll draw serious interest.

McCarthy, meanwhile, is also 28 years old, but is under control through 2028, and has 1.3 bWAR in 91 games with 10 home runs, a .302 average, and an .852 OPS. He'd be a very interesting pickup for a contender this year with his elite speed and solid contact.
Lastly, Castro is a utilityman who was traded last year by the Minnesota Twins to the Chicago Cubs , and could be on the move again at the 2026 deadline. He is 29 years old and signed through 2027 on a two-year, $12.8 million deal.
Castro has 0.6 bWAR with a .256 batting average, nine home runs, and a .710 OPS. He's the least-appealing option, but with his defensive versatility, Castro could be someone of interest for many clubs this summer.
All seven of these players could be on the move for the Rockies, as they've reportedly told clubs all of them are available. McCarthy, Moniak, and Senzatela are the most valuable, while Freeland and Lorenzen probably won't fetch much of anything in a trade.
