The San Francisco Giants are going to be trade deadline sellers this season, and there are plenty of interesting names worth considering at this year's deadline from the Giants' roster.

Luis Arraez and Robbie Ray are the two headliners as rental options, but Heliot Ramos is another player who could fetch some legitimate trade interest. However, the Giants might also entertain trade offers on some expensive veterans this summer.

For MLB insider Andy McCullough of The Athletic , he would be "shocked" if the Giants traded $313.5 million slugger Rafael Devers at the trade deadline for a simple reason: his contract.

"I would be absolutely shocked - shocked! - if the Giants could move Devers' contract," McCullough writes.

For as good a hitter as Devers is, posting a solid .796 OPS this season after a very slow start to the year, the Giants would be hard-pressed to find a team willing to take on his contract.

Devers is in the middle of a massive 10-year, $313.5 million contract that runs through the 2033 season. Such a large and lengthy contract is a real problem for the Giants in potential trade conversations.

Teams would likely ask the Giants to take on some of that contract to consider a trade, and if the Giants did somehow find a team willing to take on his deal, the other team probably wouldn't want to give up much in return.

The Giants are, effectively, stuck with Devers, barring some unforeseen interest from a desperate MLB team. For now, Devers is a Giant and doesn't look likely to be leaving anytime soon.

Devers would be a good trade target if he weren't so expensive, especially for someone who's a DH-only or a questionable defensive first baseman.

There is almost no chance Devers is traded now, or in the future. His $313.5 million contract is a massive hurdle to a deal, and McCullough, like the rest of the baseball world, would be "shocked" if the Giants somehow found a trade partner for Devers.
