Wisdom Mike all set for exit – why Bayern decided to sell him?

Bayern Munich youngster Wisdom Mike is all set to leave the club this summer.

Mike joined Bayern’s academy in 2022 and was regarded as one of the brightest young talents at the club.

The 17-year-old winger made five appearances last season under Vincent Kompany, and many expected him to receive more game time in the upcoming campaign.

Bayern have decided to offload Mike, and a deal has been agreed with Club Brugge.

Christian Falk has told CFBayern Insider that Brugge will pay a fee of around €5m fixed, plus add-ons, for Mike.

According to Sacha Tavolieri , Bayern will not include a buy-back clause in the deal.

The German winger is expected to finalise his move to Brugge within the next 48 hours, where he will sign a five-year contract.

Falk also said that despite Mike featuring for Bayern last season, the club do not believe he is good enough to become a regular starter in the future.

However, the main reason why he fell out of Kompany’s favour was his poor attitude.

The Bild journalist exclusively told CFBayern Insider that the club feel Mike is not serious enough about learning, and has often fallen asleep while Kompany was speaking to the team.

Who else could leave Bayern Munich

We have already reported that Bayern Munich have no plans to sign any more players during the summer transfer window.

However, they are looking to offload a few players and have made progress in that respect.

After a long saga, Joao Palhinha is all set to leave the club to join Benfica , while Bryan Zaragoza is also on his way to joining Espanyol.

What remains to be seen is whether Bayern would accept offers for either Hiroki Ito or Kim Min-jae if any clubs come forward with suitable bids during the final week of the transfer window.
