Burnley striker Ashley Barnes has signed a new-one year contract and will move on to the club's coaching staff at the end of the 2026-27 season.
The 36-year-old is in his second spell with the Clarets, having returned in January 2025 after an 18-month stint with Norwich.
Across his two stays with the Turf Moor side, he has won promotion to the Premier League four times.
"He's an experienced professional with plenty of knowledge and success in this league and he plays a huge role off the pitch within the dressing room," boss Nicky Hayen told the club website.
"Ashley knows what this club means to the town, the supporters and himself. He's a great personality to keep around."
Barnes initially joined Burnley from Brighton in January 2014 and has scored 52 goals in 288 league appearances for them.
