Pinky Up’ All Night: KATSEYE Set to Make Late-Night Performance Debut on ‘The Tonight Show

KATSEYE is about to perform for the very first time on late-night television, Billboard can exclusively reveal Wednesday (Aug. 5).

As shared by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , the girl group — comprised of members Megan, Yoonchae, Lara, Daniela and Sophia — will appear on the program’s Aug. 12 episode, which is set to air at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on NBC before becoming available for streaming on Peacock the next day. When the ladies take the stage that night, it will mark their first-ever late-night musical performance.

KATSEYE will also sit for an interview with Fallon to discuss their new EP Wild — which is set to drop two days after their Tonight Show visit — as well as upcoming tour plans. Matthew McConaughey will also appear as a guest on the show the same night.

It’s unconfirmed which song the group will perform for Fallon’s audience, but something from Wild is probably a good bet. The project’s lead single, “Pinky Up,” dropped in April, reaching No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 . They followed it up with “Animal” — co-written by Ed Sheeran and accompanied by a music video featuring Demi Moore — which debuted at No. 24 in July.

The group — which will kick off its Wildworld Tour in early September — previously appeared on Fallon this past February ahead of their appearance in State Farm’s Super Bowl commercial. They haven’t returned since HYBE announced later that month that sixth member Manon would be taking a hiatus to focus on her well-being. “It’s not our place or anybody else’s place to rush her,” Sophia said in June in the face of fan questions about Manon’s continued absence. “We want to give her all the time that she needs, all the space that she needs, and so we don’t want to make any assumptions.”
