A squirrel caused quite a bit of chaos on Monday at Comerica Park.
A black squirrel managed to break onto the field during the Detroit Tigers' 8-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, and it led the grounds crew on a chase in the outfield. Orioles outfielder Leody Taveras even had to get in on the action, though he couldn't quite catch the elusive animal with his glove.
Perhaps the best part of the loose squirrel was Jason Benetti's call of the scene from the booth.
"No, I won't be hemmed in! I have freedom on my mind!" Benetti yelled.
It took the entire Tigers grounds crew and Orioles outfielder Leody Taveras to remove this squirrel from the field Home plate umpire Bill Miller even asked the crowd for a round of applause for the grounds crew 😂 pic.twitter.com/v1230aOIvj

Eventually, the crew managed to track the squirrel down and got it out of the stadium so the game could continue.
Baltimore hit three home runs in the win, two of which came in the fifth and helped secure the three-run win. The victory pushed them to 52-55 on the year, and they sit fourth in the AL East standings.
The Tigers have lost three straight and fourth in the AL Central at 50-57.
Although they didn't get the win on Monday, Tigers fans in attendance were all-in on the extra member of the outfield.
Naturally, signs started popping up everywhere.
