Trainer Roger Varian is on a good run, boasting around a 38 per cent strike-rate.</p><h3>3.55 Newcastle - Taaklam looks to bounce back at Gosforth Park</h3><p>With Sunlit Sea a non-runner, the <em>QuinnBet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap</em> could be the stage for <strong>Taaklam </strong>to bounce back after racing too freely at Catterick last time out.</p><p>PJ McDonald's mount is returned to five furlongs for the first time since his debut, and, coupled with the move back to the all-weather, they could be catalysts for improvement.</p><p><strong>Go Lockers Go</strong> should remain competitive back at the minimum trip and <strong>Nana's Boy George</strong> can make further progress after a gelding operation post-Wolverhampton success.</p><h3>Best of the rest</h3><p>At Wolverhampton, the 2pm <em>attheraces.com/marketmovers Maiden Fillies' Stakes</em> sees the Gosden team hand a first start to Godolphin's 250,000gns yearling <strong>Gilding The Lily</strong>.
