Calibre 50 Celebrates Its Historic 28th No. 1 Hit at Billboard’s First-Ever Mazatlán Pop-Up Moment

Calibre 50’s performance is part of the Billboard “Milestone Moment Pop-Up” series, hosted by Billboard and Calibre 50’s label Fono.

For the first time ever, Billboard celebrated an exclusive Milestone Pop-Up Moment outside the United States — in the beautiful Mazatlán, a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. Located on the Pacific Coast, opposite the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula, Mazatlán is known as the birthplace of banda music in the region.

Calibre 50 is a regional Mexican band that formed in 2010 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. The band emerged from the vibrant Sinaloa music scene, blending norteño and banda traditions. Celebrating its new achievements in Mazatlán — the heart of Sinaloan music — was particularly meaningful, especially as the group reached an impressive milestone of 28 chart-topping hits on the Regional Mexican Airplay tally, as of March 2026.

Calibre 50 extended its record for the most No. 1s on  Billboard ’s  Regional Mexican Airplay  chart as “Me Enamoré Solo” climbed from No. 4 to the top spot on the March 28-dated list, marking the 28th leader for the act.

“Every album we bring you is going to be our work of touching your heart, of touching your soul, with the lyrics, with the feeling with which we sing them, with the way my bandmates play them,” Calibre 50 tells Billboard . “We have a lot of feelings, but above all, we want to say thank you and ask you to keep supporting Caliber 50’s music with all your strength.”

After the band received its Billboard plaque for No. 1 Regional Mexican Airplay, Calibre 50 delivered an intimate performance and a thank-you to its loyal fans, with a magical view of the sunset behind the musicians.
