T he latest new Blue Devil profiled by the Duke Chronicle is Loyola-Maryland transfer Jacob Theodosiou. A 6-4 native of Canada, he has moved around a bit, playing for Wyoming before Loyola, and now of course, he’ll finish at Duke.
Here’s what the Chronicle says about him: “The guard brings a patient and polished offensive skillset to Duke men’s basketball, also with experience as an offensive focal point for Loyola Maryland. Although his percentages from the field leave something to be desired — 31.4% on 3-pointers as a Greyhound — Theodosiou is a ready-and-willing shooter…Theodosiou also fits right in with a Blue Devil team that seems to prioritize size and fluidity more and more every year..The Waterloo, Ontario, native doesn’t possess the explosive athleticism of Rippey or the frame of Dame Sarr, but Theodosiou’s combination of fluidity and quickness is nothing to scoff at either.”
We haven’t seen him play, but it sounds like he’s going to be a nice asset, even if he’s primarily a practice player. However, his experience makes him a guy who could step up if he is needed.
