KABC ORANGE, Calif. (KABC) -- An out-of-control Tesla crashed into multiple homes, leaving behind a trail of destruction in an Orange County neighborhood overnight.
The driver apparently lost control of the car along Chapman Avenue just before midnight Wednesday. The car smashed through a wall and crashed about 20 feet down an embankment, damaging several homes on Cadbury Drive.
Video from the scene showed widespread damage to several of the townhomes, including shattered windows and debris scattered across the street. A garage that the Tesla ended up in front of sustained the most damage in the crash.
Many people were in their homes at the time, but none of them were hurt. However, the driver was said to be seriously injured.
Police were investigating the circumstances that led up to the crash.
